Comcast On Demand today has a pretty robust slate of movies to choose from. There’s the Denzel Washington/John Travolta thriller The Taking of Pelham 123, the kid comedy Aliens in the Attic, the sexy comedy I Love You, Beth Cooper and the unsettling documentary about where our tastiest meals really come from, Food, Inc.
The Taking of Pelham 123
John Travolta is Ryder, a mysterious and unhinged criminal mastermind who has assembled a team of gun-toting thugs to take a subway car full of passengers hostage for ransom, which makes the life of Metro Transit Authority employee Walter Garber (Denzel Washington) a living nightmare, as he’s forced to play the role of negotiator.
I Love You, Beth Cooper
Hayden Panettiere stars as Beth Cooper, the most popular cheerleader in school who’s been put on a pedestal by the valedictorian (Paul Rust) for the last four years. When he blurts out his imaginary love for her at graduation, she and her friends decide to show the hopeless nerd the crazy time of his life.
Robert Kenner [read my interview with him here] directs this hot-button documentary that blows the lid off the factory food production process, revealing the ugly and dangerous truths of corporate farming and their unsavory business tactics, and the desperate need to force these companies to change their ways. Eric Schlosser of Fast Food Nation co-produces.
Aliens in the Attic
Ashley Tisdale’s family goes on a vacation to reconnect with each other only to find themselves having to fight off an alien invasion from little green guys that they can’t tell their parents about.
