A ‘Dollhouse’ & ‘True Blood’ Halloween: Muppets & Lenny Kravitz, Oh My!

When you’re an actor on a show like ‘True Blood‘ or ‘Dollhouse,’ every day is Halloween.

So when the darkest holiday rolls around, the stars of these shows have to get quite a bit creative. What costumes will our favorite primetime stars trick-or-treat in?

“I haven’t decided on my costume yet but it’s a big, big holiday. It’s one of my favorite holidays,” says ‘Dollhouse’ star Tahmoh Penikett. “I was thinking about going as one of the Muppets.  I don’t want to give it away right now, but I’m thinking one of the band members. It’s not Animal. A group of friends who are going to go and everybody’s going to take a character. We’re still working it out.”

Meanwhile, Kunal Nayyar of ‘Big Bang Theory‘ is trying to bring sexy back to men’s costumes. “I’ve been told to go as Lenny Kravitz. You know, guys never get to be sexy for Halloween.”

However, Kravitz wasn’t his first choice, “I was going to be a Jedi. I’ve decided to go as Lenny Kravitz so I can be sexy.”

“I think I’m going to go as a pirate,” says Rutina Wesley, who plays Sookie Stackhouse’s best friend Tara on ‘True Blood.’ “A girly pirate though, with a little dress to make it a sexy pirate.” It’s understandable to us why she’s staying away from anything vampire-related.

But for former ‘Amazing Race‘ winners Kynt and Vixen, costumes don’t come as easy. “Halloween is the hardest day of the year for me because it’s kind of like Goth Christmas. It’s the time of year when the whole rest of the world joins us on a giant freak ship,” says Vixen. “So it’s hard to find something to dress up as when everyday is sort of a fashion show already.”
