Will The ‘Desperate Housewives’ Survive Sweeps?

November sweeps are right around the corner and that means it’s time for show-runners to start pulling out the big guns in order to get ratings gold. Earlier this year ‘Desperate Housewives‘ head honcho, Marc Cherry, promised to keep the residents of Wisteria Lane safe from death during sweeps month.  It seems now he’s reneging on that very promise, big time.

“I’d love to kill somebody ’cause that’s just what I do,” Cherry told Entertainment Weekly‘s Michael Ausiello in an interview on Oct. 4,  “But the truth is, right now I don’t have anyone major dying.”

Now according Ausiello, there’s not only going to be one death – but several – including a fan favorite. Spoiler specialist Ausiello doesn’t name any names, in fact he insist he has no clue, yet he does make a few educated guesses as to who has the largest chance of getting the axe.

The short list includes Bree’s estranged husband Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) and frienemy Katherine (Dana Delany) and Susan’s daughter Julie (Andrea Bowen).
