Fox’s ‘Glee’ will soon get some ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ treatment as Joss Whedon has agreed to direct an upcoming episode of the musical comedy.

Apparently Whedon, who created the singing-and-dancing ‘Once More, With Feeling’ episode of ‘Buffy,’ is a fan of ‘Glee’ and was more than happy to sign up, according to the Ausiello Files.

And ‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy couldn’t be happier about the pairing. “This is a great, if unexpected fit. I’m thrilled he’ll be loaning us his fantastic groundbreaking talent,” he said.

Adding more musical power to the hit show is the announcement that Broadway’s Jonathan Groff has signed on for multiple episodes.

Groff’s guest appearance will reunite him with Lea Michele – the two starred opposite one another on stage in ‘Spring Awakening.’
