Jorja Fox recently returned to the ‘CSI‘ family for a quick five-episode run, but now it sounds like the actress will be sticking around “indefinitely,” reports the Ausiello Files.

After ‘CSI’ fans were left scratching their heads when Fox quit the show in 2007, executive producer Carol Mendelsohn decided to use her return to bring the ‘CSI’ family back together again.

“As many episodes as we can have Jorja for we want her for,” Mendelsohn said. “Jorja has been the glue that has really helped to reform the bond of our team.”

Just don’t expect to see William Petersen’s character Grissom popping back up any time soon.

Mendelsohn promises to address his absence and calls the relationship between Grissom and Fox’s Sara “healthy.”

Besides Fox’s extended stay viewers can expect an upcoming story line to cross-over onto all three ‘CSI’ programs beginning Nov. 9 with ‘CSI: Miami‘ followed by ‘CSI: NY‘ on Nov. 11 and the original on Nov. 12.
