TV will soon have an extra helping of ‘Friends‘ stars back on the air as Matthew Perry becomes the latest alum to join a new series.

Perry is co-writing and starring in a new single-camera comedy for Sony Pictures TV — its currently being pitched to the various networks, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The show will revolve around Perry’s character, a “self-involved manager of a second-rate sports area who begins to re-evaluate his life on his 40th birthday.”

The news comes hot off the heels that Perry’s former ‘Friends’ co-star Matt LeBlanc would be returning to TV in Showtime’s new comedy ‘Episodes.’ Meanwhile, Courteney Cox can be seen on ABC’s ‘Cougar Town.’
