You knew it was coming.

There can only be so many celebrities to pass away while ‘South Park‘ was on hiatus, the so-called ‘Celebrity Summer of Death,’ that the inevitable would finally land on our DVRs – or in this case – embedded below.

In Wednesday’s season premiere, the boys must help a tormented Ike, who sees the ghosts of celebs who’ve passed on like Billy Mays, Michael Jackson, David Carradine, Patrick Swayze, Walter Cronkite, Farrah Fawcett, Ed McMahon, DJ AM, Dom Deluise and more, who are trapped – on a plane sitting on the runway – in purgatory, waiting to enter heaven.

Trust me, seeing Ike on the psychiatrist’s couch is as funny as anything in the episode. There is also the minutes-long dig on the SyFy Channel’s ‘Ghost Hunters’ – something that really should have been done a long time ago.

Poor Ike. Could there be anything worse than to be tormented by the ghosts of celebrities past?
