Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend are a trio of fun movies, although they find their funsies in very different ways. There’s Ellen Page finding her calling in life as a badass roller derby girl in Drew Barrymore’s Whip It, there’s Ricky Gervais working his comedy magic in The Invention of Lying, and of course there’s Woody Harrelson beating the hell out of zombies with banjos in Zombieland. Also, Michael Moore’s Capitalism: A Love Story is expanding to a theater near you.

Drew Barrymore makes her directorial debut and also straps on the skates for this coming-of-age roller derby story, which stars Ellen Page as Bliss Cavender, a teenage girl forced into pageants by her mother (Marcia Gay Harden) but struggles to find a passion in life until she runs across some unruly derby girls (Barrymore, Kristen Wiig, Eve, Zoe Bell) who inspire her to sneak away from her parents and become her own woman.
