Seth Meyers wants you to watch this weekend’s ‘Saturday Night Live‘ premiere because of a little band he thinks you should know about.

“Megan Fox is coming on with U2,” he told us on the red carpet at the Emmys on Sunday. “I don’t know if you’ve heard of them.  They’re a young band from Ireland and they might actually make it,” he joked.

“Obviously we don’t have an election coming up but with politics and TV politicians, we’ll be all good,” added the ‘Weekend Update’ funnyman about the new season.

He also dished about the new women on the show, Jenny Slate and Nasim Pedrad. “We have a couple new ladies that we are very excited about,” he told us. Does he still keep in touch with fired SNL stars Casey Wilson and Michaela Watkins? “Absolutely. We’re friends with everybody.”

The show’s mastermind, Lorne Michaels also shared his secret to keeping the show popular after all these years – young and fresh energy. “Just keep showing up,” he told us. “New people keep coming in every year and brings a new different kind of energy into the show and makes it better.”
