Tuned In: What’s Hot In The World Of TV

Ouch. Things aren’t looking too good for NBC late-night right now. Repeats of ‘The Late Show with David Letterman‘ last week drew almost as many viewers as all-new episodes of ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien.’ Although the NBC show continued to lead Letterman in the coveted 18-49 demo, this is again not a good sign for the former kings of late night (at least when Jay Leno had the show.) Will things change when ‘The Jay Leno Show’ debuts on September 14th at 10pm? We shall see.

Wednesday Night TV Highlights:

The Real World: Cancun
The roommates are still reeling from Joey’s ouster last week, but that doesn’t hinder Jazmin from continuing to throw herself over and over (and over) at Pat, who obviously couldn’t be less interested. What does this all lead to? Yes, the tried and true “I have an alcohol” realization at the end of the hour, and Jazmin’s determination to get help. We’ll see how long this lasts…

Thursday Sizzlers:

  • Big Brother: 8pm ET on CBS Tonight either Russell or Chima will be evicted…unless Jeff uses the Coup d’Etat power to overthrow the nominations.
  • Real Housewives of Atlanta: 10pm on Bravo How can the ladies top last week’s weave-induced brawl? Well, you know they’ll try -we’re still reeling from the NeNe-Sheree power pairing.
  • Royal Pains: 10pm on USA If you haven’t yet sampled the biggest cable hit of the summer, tune in tonight for Mark Feuerstein as a doctor unlike any other.
