Quote of the Day: Grandma Not ‘Mad’ About Hamm

Homer Simpson is a fan. So is Ari Gold from ‘Entourage.’ The ‘SNL’ send-up went viral. And now even ‘Sesame Street’ is spoofing them.

But Jon Hamm’s grandma is not down with ‘Mad Men.’

“My grandmother is not a big fan of the show,” Jon Hamm revealed to Conan O’Brien Tuesday while promoting the new season on ‘The Tonight Show.’

How could anyone resist the dashing Don Draper?

“She’s from a small town in southern Missouri, a church-going lady. And she told me, ‘I don’t think you are making very good decisions,’ which I thought distilled it sort of nicely,” joked Hamm, whose brooding leading man has a little trouble in the fidelity department.

The third season of the multi-Emmy-nominated ‘Mad Men’ premieres Sunday night at 10 p.m. on AMC.
