Britney Spears has snagged seven VMA nominations, including one for Video of the Year.
Spears’ “Womanizer,” is up against BeyoncĂ©’s “Single Ladies,” Eminem’s “We Made You,” Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and Kanye West’s “Love Lockdown.”
Taylor Swift, Pink, Green Day and Muse have all been confirmed as performers.
The show’s host, Russell Brand, videoblogged about the nominations, adding “Obviously, all these people are worthy nominees, but I realize that Britney perhaps wrote ‘Womanizer’ about me, so I’d like that to win,” Brand said.
The VMAs air September 13 on MTV.
