Family ties will entangle more than one housewife in major–what else–drama on the upcoming season of ‘Desperate Housewives.’

A tiny terror now lives on Wisteria Lane. No, not Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker).

But sassy Mrs. Solis is set to endure yet another nemesis–only this time it won’t be one of her neighbors.

It’s Ana, that sly niece of Carlos’ (Ricardo Chavira), who came to live with him and Gaby.

Maiara Walsh, who appeared in last season’s final two episodes, is joining the cast as a series regular, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

That’s not the only casting news emerging this week.

Susan Mayer (Teri Hatcher) will have reason to be wound even tighter when her family circle gets more screen time this season.

Andrea Bowen, who plays Susan’s daughter Julie, is allegedly a series regular once again, while Richard Burgi, Susan’s ex-husband Karl, will also appear more frequently.

Teri Hatcher revealed a plot twist on May’s wedding cliffhanger during an appearance on ‘The View.’ GET THE DETAILS HERE.

Julie was whisked away to college last season after the ‘Housewives’ jumped five years into the future, but returned for a brief spell to romance her much older professor, Steven Weber.

Karl, who’s had liaisons on the lane with Susan and Edie, was last seen hooking up with–Bree (Marcia Cross) of all people!–in the May season finale.

‘Desperate Housewives’ returns to ABC for its sixth season September 27.
