Ed McMahon has passed away. His agent Howard Bragman informed an NBC affiliate he died shortly after midnight at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center surrounded by his family.
No cause of death was given, but Bragman said that McMahon was suffering from a “multitude of health problems the last few months.”
According to a source close to the family, the entertainer had bone cancer, and had been hospitalized for several weeks.
The former longtime sidekick of Johnny Carson on ‘The Tonight Show’ was 86-years-old.
Recently, McMahon made headlines for facing possible eviction from his home.
McMahon leaves behind his wife Pam and five children from previous marriages.
