Former ‘Tonight Show‘ sidekick Ed McMahon has been embroiled in multiple legal battles over his well publicized financial woes.
The threat has been looming for some time, but it looks like McMahon has lost the fight to keep his home, RadarOnline is reporting.
The TV personality owes $644,000 on his nearly $5 million mortgage and has been facing foreclosure since last summer.
Now a date has been set. The six-bedroom, five-bathroom Beverly Hills house is scheduled to be auctioned off in late June, at which time McMahon will be evicted.
The 86-year-old has been facing other personal set backs as well.
He was hospitalized earlier this year with pneumonia and bone cancer. McMahon also recently settled a lawsuit with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center over the treatment he received for his broken neck, suffered in a 2008 fall. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, I’d be curious to know what Johnny Carson’s old pal thinks about the new era of ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien,’ but it looks like he has bigger issues to deal with.
