If every rose has its thorn – then does every rocker have his fall?

The fall that Bret Michaels suffered at last night’s Tony Awards caused him to fracture his nose and break his lip.

Michaels was at the awards show performing with his band, Poison, to support the theatrical production, ‘Rock of Ages.’ At the end of the performance, he missed his mark on the stage and was hit in the head and knocked off his feet when a giant portion of the set came down on him. The LA Times suggests that the fall was fostered by his inability to see because of his cowboy hat.

Host Neil Patrick Harris later made light of the situation during the show, saying, “Now that number gives a whole new meaning to headbanging,” and later singing “What class, what drive / now Angela [Lansbury]‘s won five / and she hooked up with Poison backstage!
