Actor David Carradine was found dead Thursday morning in a hotel room in Bangkok.

A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy confirmed the 72-year-old ‘Kill Bill’ star died but offered no other details out of respect for actor’s family. He was staying at the luxury Park Nai Lert Hotel in the Thai capital to shoot the movie ‘Stretch.’

Update: The lead investigator from the Thai police has confirmed they found “his body, naked, hanging in the closet” by a nylon rope from the curtains.

Carradine’s manager Chuck Binder calls his death “accidental.”

It’s “shocking and sad,” Binder told Fox News. “He was full of life, always wanting to work…a great person.”

Carradine was best known for his role as the Shaolin Monk Caine in the 1970s TV series ‘Kung Fu.’

In a 2008 interview with TV Guide, Carradine made some eerie comments about his legacy.
