The Next Generation of Idols: Now that Kris Allen has been named the king of ‘Idol,’ the search for the next superstar has begun. Season nine auditions will kick off June 14 at Gillette Stadium in Boston, followed by Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Denver.

Important Second Season: ‘Important Things with Demetri Martin’ has been given the green light for a second season on Comedy Central, to premiere in 2010. ‘Things’ premiered as the network’s most-watched series since ‘Chappelle’s Show.’ The young comedian, who describes himself as an “Emmy-losing writer and all-around person,” mixes skits, animation and music for all-around laughs.
