William Shatner Gets Animated, Oxygen Dances Its Ass Off, John Wayne Movie Marathon And More

Shatner’s Animated: Now that ‘Boston Legal’ is off the air and the ‘Stark Trek’ film didn’t need his services, William Shatner has plenty of time on his hands. So he’s decided to go viral. Web viral, that is. He’s just released an online animated series, The Gavones, that follows Shatner as Don Salmonella Gavone, patriarch to four problem sons. He describes it as, “…a comedic Soprano family.” A second installment is set to be released next month.

Sarah Jessica Parker Fears For Her Baby: Sex and the City Star Sarah Jessica Parker tells ‘Access Hollywood’ that she’s concerned for the life of her surrogate “and the safe delivery of our children,” due to the fact that the woman’s phone and computer have been hacked into and she has received death threats. “I think even given the unfortunate way we live now in this unending appetite for the more salacious information,” she said. “It has still shocked me, and it has still really disappointed me.”

John Wayne Marathon: Encore Westerns is going all out for Memorial Day this weekend. The John Wayne movie marathon will air May 25 and will include interviews with Norman Lear, Senator John McCain, Steven Spielberg and former Presidents George Bush Sr. and Jimmy Carter. Films in the 28-hour project will include ‘U-571′, ‘M*A*S*H’, ‘Pork Chop Hill’, ‘To Hell and Back’ and more.

Just Dance: ‘Dance Your Ass Off,’ is the new Oxygen series that pits contestants who are struggling to lose weight to a dance-off. The show, hosted by Marissa Jaret Winokur, will air its casting special, ‘Dance Your Ass Off: The Weight is Over” on Tuesday, June 16 on Oxygen. Dance performances will include hip hop, ballroom and pole dancing.
