Dwayne Johnson Goes “20,000 Leagues Under The Sea”

It’s not easy going from professional wrestler to mainstream actor, but Dwayne Johnson has managed the feat, thanks in no small part to the fact that Disney apparently absolutely loves making movies with the guy. The Rock has signed on for another classic remake of a Disney film, which will be 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea for director McG (a decidedly friendlier turn for him after the dark Terminator: Salvation).

EDIT: A day later, a reversal of fortune. IESB reports that Production Weekly is now saying that the report that The Rock was involved with this film was wrong. No Dwayne for this flick after all. At least not yet.

Speaking of leagues under the sea, check out a free Fancast flick tackling the same sort of mysterious subject: The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues.
