The “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge: Round 7

by | April 23, 2009 at 10:14 AM | Survivor

Quick Aside: That picture of Coach is awesome, right? He looks like Captain Jack Sparrow…

The Rules: Each week, “Survivor: Gabon” alumni and former Onion Alliance kingpin Charlie Herschel and your beloved “Survivor” recapper Gordon Holmes will create separate power rankings. The ranking of the person who is voted out of that Thursday’s episode will determine the amount of points the two combatants will earn. For example, if Coach is voted out this week, Charlie will receive 6 points and Gordon will receive 4 points. At the end of the season, the person with the most points will be named the “Survivor: Tocantins” Power Rankings Challenge Champion.

Last Episode: Gordon had Brendan ranked 8th, while Charlie picked right again and had him in spot nine. The current score is Gordon 56, Charlie 59.

Stephen: Stephen continues to sit at the top of my rankings.  However, he has to realize that he has little chance of beating JT if they make it to the finals together.

2

4

Taj: My biggest question when it comes to Taj right now is; when it comes down to it, will JT and Stephen stick with her or side with the less-popular Coach and Tyson?

3

3

Deb: As I browse around the “Survivor” fan communities, I see no love for Deb. She may not be playing the boldest game, but she’s going to make it far.

4

9

Coach: Hear ye! Hear ye! The Dragon Slayer hath slain the health food-peddling Dragon! Renaissance Faire lovers the world over are celebrating, while the Coach haters have to deal with him a while longer.

5

2

JT: Aww…everybody loves JT. It should be a sitcom on CBS. How soon until players realize that they’re not going to see that million-dollar check with this good ol’ boy around?

6

5

Tyson: Mark my words, people are going to start taking notice of how many immunities Tyson is winning. He should cool his jets for a while.

7

6

Erinn: Erinn still seems to be this weird wild card that nobody seems to be particularly fond of. Has anyone made it this far in the game without having a specific alliance?

8

7

Sierra: The commercials are teasing that Sierra will win immunity tonight, but I’m not buying it. I look forward to hearing what she has to say about Coach during her interview tomorrow.

Current Score: 59

Stephen: Stephen has an amazing shot at the final two. But, will his behind-the-scenes, puppet-master strategy be misinterpreted as a lucky game of riding coattails and earn him second place when he faces the jury?  I hope not!

2

2

Taj: Taj is doing exactly what she should be doing at this point–she is being flexible and adapting to the changing alliances that she doesn’t have control over.  She could have put up a fuss about ditching her boy Brendan, but she smartly just went with the flow.

3

7

JT: JT luckily escaped the first post-merge boot, most likely because of Joe’s nasty infection.  A lot of people are looking out for this guy to win–they better watch out or he WILL win!

4

4

Erinn: It sucks that she has security in this game because she is a lousy player and has no friends.

5

5

Deb: Still safe, but her time is coming.

6

8

Coach: Stephen/JT/Taj seem to like the dude.  WHA?  How did Coach pull that one off?

7

6

Sierra: Sierra and Brendan really dropped the ball in this game–they failed to solidify alliances with either of their two strong options to get them far (Timbira 6 or Exile Alliance).  This game was in their lap!

8

3

Tyson: Sierra leaving wouldn’t be much of a surprise and this is the season of surprises.  I’m going out on a limb and predicting that Tyson’s success in immunity challenges matched with the fact that the former Jalapao are calling the shots is bad news for Tyson.
