Showtime Passes On Final Pilot Order

Reuters is reporting that Showtime, which had ordered four different pilots for the upcoming fall season, has canceled it last remaining new offering.

On Friday, the premium cable network declined to pick up Tim Robbins‘ new pharmaceutical-drama ‘Possible Side Effects.’

Showtime has passed on three other pilots – an ‘L Word‘ spin-off starring Leisha Hailey, the Matthew Perry/Peter Tolan comedy ‘The End of Steve’ and the comedy ‘Ronna and Beverly.’

It is understood that ‘Side Effects’ tested well but the show’s subject matter was the reason for Showtime’s decision.
