Opening this weekend is State of Play, a drama that follows an unfolding high-level news story surrounding a congressman (Ben Affleck) as it is uncovered by reporters at the Washington Globe. It accentuates the importance of investigative journalism in the process of exposing corruption as well as highlighting the contrast between the old school of newspaper reporting and the new school of internet blogging.
