Billy Bob Thornton does not want to be called an “Oscar-winning actor” – he’s a musician.
It was Canada’s CBC radio’s Jian Ghomeshi who felt the brunt of that new title change as Thornton and his band, The Boxmasters, went on Ghomeshi’s show, Studio Q, to promote their new album.
Wow, is this about as uncomfortable as it gets. Thornton finally admits that the reason for him being so obtuse is because Ghomeshi had been “instructed not to discuss” his film career.
“You would prefer me to only do this interview not mentioning at all that you’ve ever done anything in terms of acting, screenwriting?” Ghomeshi asked.
Thornton replied: “That’s correct.”
What the hell is going on in this world? Or Thornton’s.
