Barr Returns To TV: She was the mother of blue-collar comedy in the 90′s, and now she’s heading back to TV. Roseanne Barr is planning to join a new series written by Arrested Development scribe, Jim Vallely and developed by Roseanne producer, Caryn Mandabach. Barr will play – who else – a family matriarch.

Compliments To The Chef: Fox can’t get enough of their raucous hot-head, Gordon Ramsay. The network has ordered another season of Kitchen Nightmares and is expected to bring back Hell’s Kitchen for a seventh season. A live series featuring the Chef, Cook Off, is also in the works in addition to a brand new fourth cooking show.

Alice in Sci Fi: Sci Fi (or should we say Sy Fy) is slipping into Wonderland. The network has ordered a new four-hour miniseries, Alice in Wonderland, for the winter season. The series will be produced by the creator of Sci Fi’s successful Wizard of Oz series, Tin Man. “We thought ‘Alice’ was the perfectly underlying material to tell a classic story with a modern twist,” said production president Robert Halmi Jr. “We’ll have new incredible worlds and a more grown-up feel.”

Hargitay Returns: Mariska Hargitay’s collapsed lung surgery couldn’t keep her from fighting crime too long. The TV actress, who missed several weeks of Law & Order: SVU, is scheduled to return to the show in a few weeks. When she heads back to work she’s scheduled to share the screen with Hillary Duff, who is guest starring on the April 28th episode.

Lauer Hit By Deer: If you noticed that Matt Lauer was missing from the Today Show this morning, you were right to be concerned. The anchor is nursing a dislocated collarbone from an accident. “He was riding his bike over the weekend, and he had a run-in with a deer,” said co-star Meredith Vieria. NBC News Lester Holt will be the temporary fill-in.
