Here’s today’s news:

OC Gossip: The O.C. may be infiltrating the Gossip Girl spin off, with Josh Schwartz visiting the idea of having a younger version of The O.C’s Kirsten Nichol and Jimmy Cooper interact with Lily (Brittany Snow) on the new GG show. Schwartz was the brains behind the seminal millennium show that took place in Orange County, minutes from the valley where the GG spinoff will be set.

Stewie Visits Bones: It’s the crossover you never thought possible. Family Guy and Bones will be crossing paths, with Agent Booth getting a visit from Stewie and the gang of the Seth MacFarlane hit. David Boreanaz’ character will have a hallucinatory experience, where he will find himself in FG stomping grounds, Quahog, Rhode Island. “This is going to sound odd, but it is a completely believable event given [Booth's condition],” said show EP Stephen Nathan. “It’s not just a fantasy of ours. There’s medical research to back up what’s going on with Booth. There are conditions where you can see cartoon characters.”

An Ailing Anchorman: 60 Minutes creator, Don Hewitt, 86, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The legendary journalist created the news series in 1968 and retired in 2004. Doctors are currently evaluating treatment options.

Obama’s Leno Flub: Not everyone was as smitten with Barack Obama’s appearance on last night’s Tonight Show as the giddy audience. Obama’s quip saying that his low bowling score was “like Special Olympics or something” angered Special Olympics chairman Tim Shriver, who then contacted the President’s men. The criticism caused the White House to release a statement, which read: “The President made an offhand remark making fun of his own bowling that was in no way intended to disparage the Special Olympics. He thinks that the Special Olympics are a wonderful program that gives an opportunity to shine to people with disabilities from around the world.”
