Grunge Goes ‘Cold’: The band Pearl Jam will lend their music to the season finale of Cold Case by featuring 16 of their songs on a two-part episode of the detective show airing in May. This marks the first time that the band has allowed selections from their entire catalog of music to be used on TV. The episodes – titled ‘The Long Blue Line’ and ‘Into the Blue’, will deal with the 2005 death of the first female cadet at a military school.

Patridge Leaving The Hills: A second TV star is leaving The Hills. Following Lauren Conrad’s departure from the show, Audrina Patridge is leaving the series after the fifth season to launch her own show with Mark Burnett Productions. The series will follow her life and loves in LA. “She has already proved her star quality,” said Burnett. “And we can’t wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career.”

Kanye West Gets Animated: Rap superstar Kanye West will lend his voice to The Cleveland Show, and will portraying Kenny West, “an an all-around cool kid and the archenemy of CLEVELAND JR.” The two will participate in a rap-off to win the affection of Chanel, a high school princess. The Mike Henry/Seth MacFarlane animate series debuts this fall on Fox.

Samberg Goes Back To His Roots: SNL Digital Shorts mastermind Andy Samberg has been tapped to host the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, airing live on May 31. Before his SNL stint, Samberg was a writer for the award show, so he says that the experience will be “a sweet and satisfying homecoming. I can’t wait to act really important.”

Melrose Place Casting News: Cloverfield hottie Jessica Lucas has landed a gig on the new Melrose Place, alongside Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Katie Cassidy. She will portray Riley Richmond, a young and rich inner-city schoolteacher who is having second-thoughts about her engagement to Jonah (Michael Rady).

Before She Cheats: Us Weekly is alleging that the married LeAnn Rimes is having an affair with her Northern Lights co-star, Eddie Cibrian. Rimes took to her website to respond to fans, saying “I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know. Not everything in our lives is always black and white.” The tabloid ran alleged photos of the singer, who is married to Dean Dheremet, on a date with her TV co-star.
