You know Sam Raimi as the man who brought us all big-screen Spider-Man blockbusters, but astute viewers know that he cut his teeth on horror movies like Evil Dead and horror comedies like Army of Darkness. He’s taken a break from brightly colored superheroes to go back to his first love – scaring the pants off us – with Drag Me to Hell, due out this May. Alison Lohman stars as a loan officer who denies a loan to an elderly woman who then places a pretty nasty curse on her that involves insects and the hoary netherworlds, and Justin Long tries to help her deal with the ensuing metaphysical chaos and terror.

Of course, Raimi’s range doesn’t cater exclusively to horror nerds and comic book geeks – he also directed a baseball movie for aging jocks, too. Check out For Love of the Game, starring Kevin Costner, for free in its entirety right here on Fancast.
