This is Anvil! VH1 will be sreening the Spinal-esque documentary, Anvil, which follows a faux band who was once popular in the 1980′s and toured with the likes of Bon Jovi and The Scorpions, but has lately been forced to play in local bars. “This film is so much more than a documentary about the roots of metal — it’s a story about the power of perseverance and friendship and the passion that drives them,” said VH1 president Tom Calderonem, maybe with a straight face. The first screening kicks off April 10th. Watch the Anvil trailer.
