Here’s the morning scoop:

Lipstick Jungle To Gossip Girl: Andrew McCarthy is joining the upcoming Gossip Girl spinoff. He will portray Lily Rhodes’ daddy, a Los Angeles music executive…making him Serena Van Der Woodsen’s very handsome grandpapi! LC Leaves The Hills: It’s the end of the world as we know it. MTV has confirmed that Lauren Conrad will be leaving The Hills, the series that made her famous (or infamous, depending on which way you look at it). The starlet reportedly wants to lead a more private life, yet has other high-profile projects in the works such as her fashion line.

Pushing Daisies + Watchmen = Target: Watchmen may be just hitting the theaters, but one of its stars, Jackie Earle Haley, has skipped over to TV by joining Fox’s Human Target, also starring Chi McBride of Pushing Daisies. The series is based on a security agent who protects his charges by assuming their identity.

Mobile Tattoo: A&E has another tattoo reality show in the works, bringing ‘Tattoo Highway’ into development. The series will follow Inked star Thomas Pendelton and his wife as they make their way across the country on a mobile-tattoo parlor, inking customers one at a time. “Here the premise is this is the first tattoo parlor on wheels, and he goes where the stories are,” said executive producer Bob Horowitz. “Imagine all the things that can happen when you take something like this on the road and all the things that can happen.”
