This morning’s news:

Family Guy: Return of the Peter: Following its tradition of snarking on all things pop culture, Family Guy is embarking on another parody, this time mocking Return of the Jedi. The series has spoofed Star Wars in the past to fantastic ratings, leading Fox to sell them as standalone DVDs.

Michelle Trachtenberg Gossips: People.com has pics of Michelle Trachtenberg back on the set of Gossip Girl, where she is reprising her role as mean girl Georgina for the last four episodes of the season. Georgina was the notorious girlie from Serena’s delinquent past who came back last year and tried to steal Dan Humphrey away from her. Georgina is one character we love to hate!

View Anchor Gets Own Show: ‘View’ co-host Sherri Shepherd is embarking on a comedy for Lifetime that is loosely based on her own experiences. The series, which doesn’t sound much like a comedy, deals with “a woman who contends with her husband’s infidelity and his illegitimate child when she allows the child and mother to move in with them.”

Miley’s Short Biography: Miley Cyrus tells all in her new book “Miles to Go.” The international teen star recounts her first love (she’s referring to Nick Jonas, for those of you living under a rock), and tells of being bullied at school. Just like Us!

Clean Rap: “The Kings of Rap,” a new reality series hosted by Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC, is currently in development. The rap show will be a positive-themed competition offering aspiring hip-hop musicians a change to win a record deal. The requirements? The music can’t be offensive, degrading, use profanity, or encourage violence. But will they be picked to live in a house with seven rapping strangers and see what happens?
