The 81st Annual Academy Awards are set for Sunday Feb 22nd and will be hosted by leading man Hugh Jackman. It will definitely be a night to remember in Hollywood. But aside from the Kodak Theater where else will the stars be celebrating?

The 6th Annual Global Green USA Pre-Oscar Party kicks off tonight at Avalon Hollywood. The event benefits green schools, creates green jobs, and advances smart climate solutions. The event will be co-hosted by big names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Penélope Cruz, Orlando Bloom, Kate Bosworth, Rosario Dawson, and many more. There will be musical performances by Sheryl Crow and Gavin Rossdale. Not a bad line up for a Thursday night pre-party. We’ll hit this one up and give you a full report.

The Night of 100 Stars Awards Night Gala will take place on Sunday night at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Upwards of 200 stars, including 50 previous Oscar winners and nominees will gather around giant screens to watch the telecast together. Fancast will be attending this soirée and will have a full guest update for you.

The 17TH Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party will be hosted by Sir Elton John & David Furnis on Sunday, February 22nd. The charity event will be held at the Pacific Design Center and will Benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

There’s also APLA’S 8TH Annual Oscar Viewing Party on Sunday night. The event will raise money for an HIV/AIDS project and will be hosted by Jennifer Love Hewitt at The Abbey in Hollywood. We’ll have the full scoop about JLove’s dress on Fancast.

And finally, is Prince having a party, or do the tabloids have the story wrong? Prince was surprised at the news himself, saying “I didn’t know I was trowing an Oscar party!” to US Magizine. That is, he wasn’t planning a party until he read about it in papers so now the rumor mill is buzzing about whether or not if he will throw a last minute bash. We say throw it, and invite us!
