Holy Waiting Game, Bat-Fans! Christopher Nolan’s Next Film Won’t Involve Capes

Time to chill out on all that rampant speculation about how Christopher Nolan is going to follow up The Dark Knight – the answer is that he’s doing something else for a while. Specifically, he’ll be working on a sci-fi film he wrote entitled Inception, set “within the architecture of the mind.”

Fans shouldn’t be worried, though. Keep in mind that Nolan created The Prestige in between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, and that he’s good at making mind-bogglers, in case you’ve forgotten the coolness that was Memento. Let the guy recharge his bat-batteries, and chances are he’ll come back to the cape with something else new and interesting.

So rest easy, Bat-Fans, and put all your Johnny Depp Must Be The Riddler petitions on the shelf for a while. It’s been overshadowed of late, but Nolan has some very interesting work that has nothing to do with Batman. Familiarize yourself with his career right here.
