Yes, no matter what the sequel is, I will always make the bad 2 Fast 2 Furious joke about it. Get used to it, because you’ll never convince me it ain’t funny.
Anyway, word is that Charlie’s Angels producers Drew Barrymore and Nancy Juvonen are spitballing ideas for a third installment in their franchise, despite the non-fab numbers that Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle produced. Juvonen said she’s come out of her denial about ever doing another one and is now obsessed with the “four Angel” era of the original TV series, and the notion of Rihanna coming on board to fill that role. She’d also want to bring McG back (who is currently very busy with Terminator: Salvation and then Captain Nemo) along with Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Crispin Glover, and she admits they’d likely have to make something out of having a new Bosley in every film, since Bill Murray left after the first one and Bernie Mac left our world last year. If they don’t hire Tom Bosley for the role, something is wrong.
Of course, these are still all just ideas in the hopper, things to think about before gearing up for an actual movie (a script would be nice), but are you ready for a third Charlie’s Angels movie?
