Tonight on CBS Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns for a fourth season on The New Adventures of Old Christine. But some things never change.

(Old) Christine Campbell is still attempting to juggle the daily problems of motherhood, divorce, work and dating while trying to maintain a positive relationship with her ex-husband Richard (Clark Gregg.)

But he’s not making it easy on her as he embarks on his own adventures with his girlfriend, (New) Christine (Emily Rutherfurd.) And to make matters worse, last season Richard and (New) Christine moved into (Old) Christine’s dream house, while this season he’s about to pop the question to (New) Christine. Got that?

You know what? It doesn’t matter… it’s a funny show.

Still, in the opener “Decent Proposal” there are some twists to watch for…

(Old) Christine proposes marriage to Barb (Wanda Sykes) in an attempt to save her from being deported to the Bahamas. Did somebody say Prop 8?

Plus, Marly shows up pregnant at school in a last-ditch attempt to save her marriage, and Lindsay shows up pregnant to save her friendship with Marly. Any questions?
I didn’t think so.

Returning cast members for the fourth season also include Trevor Gagnon as Ritchie, Alex Kapp Horner as Lindsay, Hamish Linklater as Matthew and Tricia O’Kelley as Marly.

Confused or not, catch the new season of The New Adventures of Old Christine on its new day and time, now every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

And if you miss it, come back to Fancast for episode recaps – starting tomorrow.
