The series shifts back to Beantown, where the Rangers will try to win on the road without star center Brad Richards in the lineup. The road is uphill, but with Henrik Lundqvist in net, anything is possible for the Rangers.

British daredevil Matthew Gough has been BASE jumping for over three years and has had over 180 successful BASE jumps around the world. This was not one of them. In his latest jump, the extreme action enthusiast leaped off a 1,000-foot cliff in Lake Garda, Italy. Gough wore a headcam to document the extraordinary feat, but triumph turned to near-tragedy in the blink of an eye.

The 25-year-old made his precarious jump from the cliff, but his parachute got twisted and was facing backwards. Instead of safely sailing down to the ground, Gough smashed into the rocky mountain. Gough plummeted down the cliff and collided back to Earth going roughly 40 mph. Somehow Gough not only survived the dramatic plunge, but miraculously he only had a few minor injuries to his lower extremities and was released from the hospital just hours after being admitted.

“I was trying to think about what to do, but all I could think about was trying to stay alive, I knew the final impact was coming soon and I knew if I hit the floor at the speed I was traveling, I was in a whole lot of trouble,” Gough later said. “I managed to hang off one side of the [canopy] and get away from the cliff but couldn’t control it still, I didn’t know if I was going to hit the floor or go into the lake.”

The near-death experience hasn’t scared off Gough from BASE jumping, he says: “Some jumps I may not do, I may avoid the more technical ones but I will carry on jumping, my parents are desperate for me to stop, but I fully accept the dangers of this sport and don’t expect any sympathy.”

Wade accepted Muxo’s proposal and surprised the teen and her classmates Friday night at her prom at La Jolla Ballroom in Coral Gables. “She actually DM’d me on Twitter and said, ‘This is the address, this is where I’m gonna be just in case,’ and when I got that I said I won’t be doing nothing tomorrow night and I can go and make this a memorable moment for her,” said Wade.

“I’m gonna remember it forever. This was my highlight of my senior year,” said Muxo.

Lucky for Muxo there are plenty of pictures that she can show off down the road, and Wade even posted them on his Instagram.

It is great that there are no pictures of Wade dancing at the prom, or the Internet would have exploded given his health. Well done by Dwyane to make this young lady’s year.

That’s 9-year-old Alayna Adams throwing out the first pitch. The fully-geared catcher, that is her father, Army Lieutenant Colonel William T. Adams. Lt. Colonel Adams just returned from a one-year deployment in Afghanistan.

ESPN promised the world some big announcements at their upfront presentation, and the first is huge… literally. Check out the new 10,000-square foot, state-of-the-art SportsCenter set, which will be housed in a mere 193,000 square-foot building. The building will be coined “Digital Center II.”

Prior to a Friday night match-up between the Phillies and the Marlins, Howard met a young blind fan on the field named A.J., who has Leber’s congential amaurosis. During their meeting A.J. handed Howard a bracelet to wear and asked him if he could hit him a home run.

Not only did Howard wear the bracelet throughout the game, but he also roped a solo home run to right field in the second inning. You can check out their meeting as well as Howard’s solo shot in the video below.

The Phillies beat the Marlins, 4-1.
