With concussion talk surrounding the NFL, many parents have expressed concern about their children playing football. Fair enough. It’s a brutal and violent game.
But at least they’re not race car drivers. Because when you’re behind the wheel of a machine running at several hundred miles per hour in traffic what happened to Connor Daly in a GP3 car Saturday at the Monaco Grand Prix is possible.
Fortunately, Daly, a 20-year-old American, escaped uninjured. Still, it has to scare the bejesus out of any parent whose kid wants to get behind the wheel of a race car.
