Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake can finally shed the monkey.

Just when it looked like Madonna’s halftime show was going to go down as a solid but not Prince-solid performance, M.I.A. took things over and flipped off a countless number of humans world wide.

The British-born rapper/singer/songwriter, whose real name is Mathangi ‘Maya’ Arulpragasam, was guesting on “Give Me All Your Luvin’,” when she blatantly tossed the camera her middle finger and rapped an obscenity.

M.I.A. was a guest artist on the studio version of  ”Give Me All Your Luvin’,” along with Nicki Minaj, who also joined the ‘Material Girl’ for an on-stage medley at halftime.

Who said today’s pop music lacks edge?
