“The Partridge Family” star David Cassidy was picked up by police in upstate New York early this morning for driving under the influence.
According to TMZ, the 63-year-old entertainer was initially pulled over outside Albany for driving with his high beams on.
The arresting officer, named Tom Jones, believed the singer to be under the influence and administered a sobriety test, which Cassidy subsequently failed.
The ’70s idol, who reportedly blew a .10, was handcuffed and taken to jail where he faces felony drunk driving charges.
This is not Cassidy’s first brush with the law. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Florida in November of 2010.
