The “Grease” star, who fought breast cancer nearly 20 years ago, reveals her older sister Rona Newton-John has been diagnosed with brain cancer, according to ABC News.

The 64-year-old star confirmed her sister’s diagnosis in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”  Olivia Newton-John was slated to perform in Vegas at the Flamingo Hotel, but has decided to put family first in order to be by her sister’s side.

“In light of this news, I have decided to postpone my forthcoming Las Vegas residency to spend time with her and our family,” Newton-John wrote. “As a cancer ‘thriver’ myself, as many people are, I am very aware of the importance of love, support and family during this journey she is about to begin.”

Rona, who is 69 years old, was also an actress and was married to Olivia’s “Grease” co-star Jeff Conaway from 1980-1985. Conaway died in 2011 after a long battle with drug addiction.

As she prepares to support her sister, Newton-John tells fans, “I want to thank everyone in advance for respecting our privacy during this difficult time.”
