Bobbi Kristina Brown, 19, the daughter of the late pop diva Whitney Houston and troubled R&B singer Bobby Brown, was involved in a nasty car accident in her native Georgia on Sunday night, according to TMZ.com.
Brown was a passenger in the 2012 Camaro driven by her boyfriend Nick Gordon when the vehicle was involved in a single-car head-on crash that caused severe front-end damage — including a missing front tire and a torn-off bumper — and caused the airbags to be deployed.
Gordon, 22, is often referred to as the “adopted brother” of Bobbi Kristina, although there are no blood ties. Houston took Gordon in at the age of 10 when his mother could no longer care for him, and the two were raised as siblings, although Houston never formally adopted him. Their romantic relationship apparently blossomed in the wake of Houston’s untimely death, and was confirmed by Brown on her Twitter account earlier this year.
Despite the damage, it appears the couple managed to drive the car back to the Alpharetta, Ga. apartment the two share.
Sources say the couple had been arguing at the time of the crash, and that police called to the apartment on a noise complaint later that night discovered the vehicle — damage clearly visible and hazard lights still blinking — outside, but no one in Brown’s house answered the door.
Alpharetta police are currently investigating the accident and its aftermath, according to the police incident report.
