Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s divorce has all the makings of a Hollywood blowout.

Two major celebrities, no prenuptial agreement, and an absurd amount of money at stake.

But TMZ reports that Brand, who officially filed for divorce on Tuesday, has no intention of going after Perry’s earnings.

A source told the site, “This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person).”

Brand and Perry wed in October of 2010, just as the singer released her third studio album “Teenage Dream.”

The record has sold an approximate 5.5 million copies worldwide, producing five major radio hits and raking in major bucks.

Forbes estimates that Perry earned around $44 million from May of 2010 to May of 2011.

Any revenue brought in during the marriage is considered “community property” and can be split 50/50, meaning Brand is entitled to close to $20 million.

Despite the split’s ridiculous earning potential for Brand, it seems he is content to move on and avoid a drama-filled courtroom battle.

The duo’s divorce will not be finalized until June of 2012, so we will have to wait and see if these two will maintain their maturity.
