Police in Utah have recovered the body of a 15-year-old girl who authorities claim was murdered after she refused sex with an older man, ABC 4 in Salt Lake City reports.

The suspect, 31-year-old Daniel Lehi Ferry, was seen by witnesses assaulting Anne Grae Kasprzak after she refused to have sex with him, ABC 4 reports.

Her body was pulled from the Jordan River March 11 after a person walking across a bridge spotted blood.

Police searched Ferry’s home and said they found blood matching Kasprzak’s.

He is now being held in Salt Lake City on suspicion of murder.
