In one of the more poignant details to emerge from the big-top circus that was Dr. Conrad Murray’s manslaughter trial, the convicted doctor has revealed the final words uttered by Michael Jackson before his death. And they were as seemingly childlike as the King of Pop himself:

“More milk.”

Murray spilled details of Jackson’s final moments from behind bars this week as part of the upcoming documentary “Michael Jackson and the Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” which is slated to run later in the week. During his account of the events of June 25, 2009 (the night Jackson died), Murray claimed that Jackson was pleading for “milk” – his nickname for propofol, the anesthetic on which he fatally overdosed.

“He was pleading and begging me to please, please, let him have some milk,” Murray said (via the Daily Mail.) “’Let me have some milk.’”

“That was the only thing that would work,” Murray added, in reference to Jackson’s sleeping troubles. “He really could not sleep. Have you ever seen the ‘Thriller’ image when he was made up? He looked that hysterical.”

The documentary is slated to air this Friday, November 11 at 10 p.m. EST on MSNBC. According to The Daily Mail, it began filming in November 2009, five months after MJ’s death in June, and wrapped up earlier this week following Murray’s conviction of involuntary manslaughter. The film’s producers, October Films, said Murray was paid $1 for his participation.
