The storyline involves Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), who, at the behest of a mysteriously resurrected Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart) and former foe Magneto (Ian McKellan), travels back in time to assist a young Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) in preventing a war that decimates the future.
Director Bryan Singer, who helmed the first two superhero installments in 2000 and 2003, returns to the franchise, as well as actors Halle Berry (Storm), Anna Paquin (Rogue), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) and Daniel Cudmore (Colossus). “First Class” stars Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast) and Lucas Till (Havok) will also return.
