The worst driver in a group is typically the last person you’d put in the driver’s seat.

Unfortunately for the cast and crew of the new action-comedy sequel “RED 2,” the worst driver in their group – actress Mary-Louise Parker – was the one who spent the most time behind the wheel.

Parker plays Sarah Ross, the flighty girlfriend of retired CIA operative Frank Moses (played by Bruce Willis) who discovers Interpol has put a price on his head over allegations of Cold War chicanery. When Moses reassembles his band of ex-secret agents, including original “RED” favorites Marvin (John Malkovich) and Victoria (Helen Mirren), Sarah is eager to be a part of the action.  And that action lands her squarely on the gas pedal of an epic car chase scene.

“I’m a famously bad driver, which everyone knew,” Parker revealed at the “RED 2” press day. “So, they created a car that had a pocket in the bottom of it so a person could sit there and drive it. And the one scene that I had where I actually was responsible for driving the car – all I had to do was drive street, like, 25 feet – I drove straight into a wall. John was really funny. He was like, ‘No, dear. Dear. You need to…’ And then I just crashed into it.”

“The director put it on a loop and just sat there at one of the video monitors watching it over and over, dying laughing,” she continued, revealing that her reputation stretched back to her days on Showtime. “I am horrible. People used to come out and watch when I would drive on ‘Weeds.’ She’s gonna drive! She’s gonna try and pull into the parking lot. And people would come out and watch. I don’t drive in real life. It’s a mistake for everyone.”

The 48-year-old actress’ action sequences aren’t confined to vehicles, however, as Parker also mixes it up with her fists, Frank’s weapons and, when she’s truly at a loss, a well-placed make out session. In fact, she locks lips with at least four characters (both good and evil) in the new film.

“I think that was my idea, actually,” Parker confessed. “I think there was just two [in the script] and I said I think that should be her thing, whenever she doesn’t know what to do. I’m not shy, really, about – I’ll kiss anyone, with varying degrees of enjoyment. But, I have to say, Mr. Willis is up there.”

Parker’s unabashed praise for Bruce Willis doesn’t stop with reviews of his lip service. The ageless brunette openly swooned over the actor’s machismo, called him “manly in the best way” and added that Bruce is the kind of man you want around in a bad situation. “I have to say, it’s so sexy. You feel like he will take care of you,” Parker said.

Bruce also has a soft side, according to Mary-Louise, who recalled the action star’s affection for his four children, including his one-year-old daughter with wife Emma Heming.

“He’s so sweet, and you can really see that when he talks about his daughters,” Parker said. “He’s just such a good father and he cares about them so deeply and he’s so good with children. My children loved him. He talks to them. My son remembered and sees posters and will say, ‘Look, Mommy, it’s Bruce Wilson.’ He’s just lovely.”

“RED 2” isn’t the only new movie you can see Parker in this weekend. She also appears in “R.I.P.D.” with Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges, who the actress said would make a great addition to the cast of a third “RED” installment.

“I think Jeff Bridges would be great in this world,” she said. “And I’d be happy to make out with him, if he wants to.”
