Comic-Con San Diego kicked off the same way it has for the past few years: With Team Edward and Team Jacob. Thousands of fans camped out in line for a seat in Hall H and the last panel of the last film of the undead franchise, “Breaking Dawn Part 2.”
Some curious news came out of the press conference, where Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and author Stephanie Meyer were all on hand, including a question regarding a rumor circulating about a potential “Twilight” reboot.
“I would love to see that, I would,” star Robert Pattinson joked. I would pity the person who takes my part… I would campaign against them.”
Pattinson’s co-star Kristen Stewart was less than enthusiastic. “If anything I would say ‘please leave it alone.’ They’ve figured it out.”
“I’d be really curious to see what it was. I think it would be really interesting in 20 years, right? 20 years,” author Stephanie Meyer said.
“What would you write if you could write the sequel?” Taylor Lautner asked Stephenie Meyer.
“Bella’s story is definitely told,” she said.
“What do you think about… Edward and Bella get divorced? It’s kind of a ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ thing?” Lautner said.
Some might venture to guess this was a crafty move on Lautner’s part to move away from the subject of spin-offs since rumors have been circulating there are plans for another movie featuring his character and Bella and Edward’s daughter Renesmee.
What do you think? Is there more “Twilight” story to be told?
