Today, I’m in Santa Monica covering the Film Independent Spirit Awards. And it’s absolutely freezing cold in the press tent. Check out the winners here.

Before heading out to the beach, I visited the Hollywood & Highland Center (formerly the Kodak Theatre) to check out the crews as they set up for the 84th annual Academy Awards. In case you missed it, I was able to scope out preparations from outside the walls and barricades and trailers last night. I was even joined on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by a bevy of celebrity impersonators, including Darth Vader, Spider-man (wearing a backpack), Don King and two Michael Jacksons. Check out video of my late-night visit to the Walk of Fame and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre by clicking here.

Today, I was actually able to walk the Oscars red carpet to check out the pre-show preparations. From the bleachers to the banners to the giant gold statues, it was quite a sight to behold. Have you ever wonder what it’s like to actually walk the red carpet? Check out the video below as I walk the same path that Brad, Angelina, George and Meryl will walk tomorrow night.

Check out more of my videos from Hollywood , including my exclusive (and brief) interview with Oscar, on YouTube. And stay tuned to the Oscars Diary for more news, notes and photos as we hit the final countdown to the Academy Awards.

See you back in Hollywood…
