Gamers’ minds everywhere have been blown.
Good news gamers: Your 10-hour marathons of Xbox will no longer be interrupted by a 10-minute scramble for the phone to order some ‘za for your indoor party. Instead, Pizza Hut and Xbox are teaming up to allow you to order pizza straight from your gaming counsel. Yep, our minds are blown.

USA Today reports that the pizza chain and Xbox have created an app that allows people to buy pizza through their Xbox. The move targets young men between the ages of 18 to 24 who are still free enough to play games for hours on end but still care about stuffing their faces full of carbs (and are too lazy to find a phone). Or, college kids.
“The very last thing a kid wants to do is look for a phone to order a pizza,” John Engates, chief technology officer at Rackspace, told USA Today. “The Xbox is no longer just a place to just play games.”
Higher-ups at Pizza Hut hope that digital ordering will save consumers time (for more gaming, we imagine) while reducing the staff necessary for phone lines. And if you’re worried that this increased gaming-reality interaction will reduce family time, don’t worry. Kurt Kane, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut, claims that nowadays, families “gather around their gaming consoles as much as they gather around their dinner tables.” We expect to see scientific studies about the benefits of gaming together as a family in the near future.
