Flower Names
Spring’s unofficial mascot is the flower and there are loads of pretty bloom names to give your baby girl — from old standbys like Rose and Daisy to the more exotic Zinnia and Dahlia. (One of our favorites: Lily, which is ranked number 15 on the Social Security Administration’s list of popular baby names.) And if you can’t decide on one, do what Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis did for their daughter, Lily-Rose: combine your two favorites!

Other Nature Names
If flowers aren’t your thing, pick another nature name that evokes growth and renewal. Options we love: Chloe, which means “young green shoot,” the tree-inspired Willow (the choice of rock-mama Pink), Rain, and, of course, Blossom.

Spring Colors
Alternatively, we love the idea of being inspired by the main color of spring — green! — with names like Emerald or Jade. We also like Violet, a name chosen by celeb parents Emily Robison and Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner.

Spring Months
They’re not exactly new, but “April” and May or Mae (the choice of former “Bachelorette” star Jen Scheft) are all pretty options for girls. We especially love them for middle names.

The Season Itself
Consider how beautiful the word “spring” is in other languages: Caroun (Armenian, for girls), Vasant (Sanskrit, for boys) and Haruki (Japanese, for boys).
